Javiera Mena at The Pearl
Javiera Mena is a Chilean pop singer with a career of over a decade and four albums under her belt. Mena slinks her transgressor and aesthetic style with a carefully assembled variety of techno and disco signifiers and passionate vocal cadence.
Asides from being a kickass artist, she is also recognized as a queer symbol and has worked with latino LGBT idol Alex Anwandter. Javiera is also known for having quite extravagant live shows, with colorful visuals, fancy garments, and backup dancers.
Shanghai was no exception, with a full theater, Javiera displayed all her talent in an hour and a half show, keeping everyone dancing and singing non-stop.
