Javiera Rolando x Shaving in the Dark
Moka Bros
Javiera Rolando is a Vancouver-based, Chilean illustrator who visited Shanghai for thie Children’s Book Fair. Her children’s illustrations are a blend of traditional and digital media, mixing colored pencils, graphite, black ink, and more; much of her work is inspired by nature, architecture and the people she observes in her travels, and they depict the kind of superheroes we wish our childhood had.
On Sunday, November 19, she teamed up with Shaving in the Dark, an illustration and comic collective based in Shanghai, and together they took over Moka Bros for an afternoon of live art, good tunes, and food.
